Overview
The IntelliSkin® Next Generation protective sleeve for the Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd - 6th Gen) & Pro 13 (M4) includes all the great features of the original IntelliSkin® while adding several enhancements. An insert molded redesign of the skin combines a hard plastic shell with soft, shock-absorbing rubber. Ruggedized contacts for repetitive docking in field applications remain on the exterior, but are now flat to collect less dirt and allow for easier cleaning. And an integrated USB Type-C connector at the bottom of the skin allows for device charging even when you don’t have a GDS® Dock™ available. Like the original IntelliSkin®, these sleeves still provide military-grade drop protection and prevent damage to your device’s charging port from constant docking with an integrated GDS® connector molded directly into the skin. The IntelliSkin® Next Generation for the Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd - 6th Gen) is compatible with a variety of GDS® Docks™ and accessories, as well as new docking cups for upgrading existing GDS® vehicle docks. Will this work with the iPad Air 13 in addition to the Pro 13?

Can it be used in the horizontal position not just the vertical for use in a vehicle? And if so, can you show any pictures of that?

Will the RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP37-NG USB-C pass through support HDMI
The USB-C port of the RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP37-NG is for charging only, it does not support an HDMI connection through the NextGen Intelliskin itself.

Is there anyway to mount something like a RAP-401-202U to the rear of this RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP37-NG system? I am looking to find a mount for my new IPAD PRO 12.9 to my sailboat's the dodger frame.
Unfortunately no, the Intelliskins and Intelliskin NextGen sleeves are made to use the GDS charging dock as the connection point for the different mounting options. The open space on the back of the RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP37-NG is made for accessories like the Hand Strap Accessory (RAM-GDS-HS2U) or the Roto-Mag (RAM-GDS-ROTO2U).

Does the external USB-C port support data passthrough? We have a need to connect a device to the iPad through the external port, not just charge.
The RAM-GDS-SKIN-AP37-NG will allow USB 2.0 data to pass through.
