The RAM-101U consists of a 6 inch C size 1.5" double socket arm and two 2.5" diameter round ball bases that contain the universal AMPS hole pattern. What size screws are needed for the holes on this ball plate?
The most common screw sizes are #8, #10, M4 and M5 screws. However, if you are pairing this with any RAM® Holder, the holder will come with the necessary hardware to connect to your mount.

does this part come with screws?
We are not able to provide that hardware because we do not know what type of material it is being mounted into or whether or not you have access to the back side of the surface that is being mounted to. The best resource for that type of information is usually a local hardware store or the manufacturer of the vehicle you are mounting to.

Can this base (Ram 101-U) fix to the 6 in swing arm extension?
The RAM-101U will not connect with the Swing arm extensions. The RAM-101U is designed to be used on it own.

Rammount products are said to be resistant to vibration and shock, so please let me know if you have any clear test data. (Data containing RAM-202 and RAM-201)
We do not publish our test data but the patented design utilizes a rubber ball and socket that greatly reduces the amount vibration that can be transmitted into electronics.

Can this be mounted to RAP-299-3U?
Yes, the holes of the round plate will line up with two indents on the top of the RAP-299-3U. Those indents are hollowed out points where the provided screws can drill in to secure the base. However, this C Size double ball mount is often meant to hold larger, heavy duty devices that could potentially be too top heavy for any cup holder mounting application. Cup holder mounts are most often recommend for small handheld devices such as phones, radios, GPS, and small tablets.
