What is Tough-Bar™?

The RAM® Tough-Bar™ is a custom-bent vehicle mounting bar designed to fit the dashboard and center console with precision. Non-invasive Design

Reduces footprint and replaces bulk by creating a stable, OEM-style mounting surface without drilling or modification. Because it follows the vehicle’s exact shape, it stays low-profile, avoids interfering with controls or passengers, and keeps devices positioned securely without blocking visibility through the windshield.

Multi-Point Connections

To install and secure the RAM® Tough-Bar™, a range of versatile attachment options ensures compatibility with nearly any vehicle or workflow. Users can combine upper attachment points—with either standard-duty adhesive anchors or heavy-duty drill-in anchors—and lower attachment points to build a secure, customized mounting setup. The Tough-Bar™ lower attachment system features multiple end-of-tube mounting bases designed to accommodate a wide variety of dashboard and seat configurations.

Tough-Bar™ allows you to mount up to six devices comfortably—no more suction cups or drill-down solutions. Utilize a variety of different clamping style mounts to easily position your devices at the perfect viewing angle.

Collar-Lock™ Mechanism

Tough-Bar™-specific mounting accessories use a Collar-Lock™ mechanism that lets you set a precise range of motion for your device mounts, keeping the device exactly where you want them. By preventing over-rotation, it enhances safety, protects your vehicle from damage, and makes it easier to temporarily move the device out of the way for viewing the vehicle’s dash screen.
