Overview
The RAM-D-115-E consists of a base with a 2.25” diameter D size ball, a long arm and a 6.25” x 2” marine electronic plate with a D size ball for supporting larger devices. This marine electronic plate contains different combinations of pre-drilled holes and is a direct fit for 9”-12” fishfinder gimbal brackets. Supports devices such as the Lowrance HDS-9 Gen2 Touch, Garmin GPSMAP 7407 and more.

The 6.25" x 2" rectangle base is a universal mounting bracket with a selection of mounting hole locations. In certain applications additional holes may need to be drilled for proper fit with your electronic device.

Does this SKU include the hardware needed to bolt it to a flat surface?
No, the hardware required to install this mount is not included. Because these are mounted to such a wide variety of materials and applications we do not know what hardware to provide. The best resource for that type of information is usually a local hardware store or the manufacturer of the vehicle you are mounting to.

What screws are used to attach the RAM Mount to the gimbal bracket?
Typically the gimbal bracket included with your fishfinder will also come with mounting screws that should connect to the RAM® mounting plate. As these mounts are universal and are for many different applications, the necessary hardware needed for each application will vary. For marine applications, RAM® recommends stainless steel hardware to prevent corrosion.

Is the mount compatible with a Garmin Echomap Ultra 106sv ? The compatibility chart states that RAM-D-115-C or RAM-D-115 will work. RAM-D-115-E is not listed at all in the grid. Please confirm. Thank you
Yes, the RAM-D-115-E will accommodate a Garmin Echomap Ultra 106sv but it's not recommended. The extra height provided by the long double socket arm in that kit will exaggerate vibration and put additional strain on the ball connections but that model Garmin is compatible with the RAM-D-115-E.

Does the ball at the base stand alone, meaning is it detachable from the socket? Also, does the top mounting bracket ball detach from the socket arm as well?
Yes, the RAM-D-115-E is composed of three separate components, the round base plate with ball (RAM-D-202U), the long length double socket arm (RAM-D-201U-E), and the marine electronics adapter plate with ball (RAM-D-115BU). Both the round plate with ball and the marine adapter plate can be removed from the double socket arm.
