Overview	This No-Drill^™ Laptop Stand System installs quickly and easily into the specified vehicles using the existing hardware of the passenger side seat rails. This configuration provides a telescoping feature with upper and lower poles that allow you to set your mount to the desired height with the simple turn of a knob. Dual swing arms provide articulation and 12 inches of reach for passenger and driver access to the mounted device. Patented rubber ball and socket joint provides additional adjustment as well as shock and vibration isolation. The RAM Tough-Tray^™ is spring loaded to accommodate 10" to 16" wide laptops (17" wide screens). The tray features four adjustable retaining arms with rubber grip feature. These arms can be moved both vertically and horizontally. This allows for a custom fit for varying thicknesses of laptops and the freedom of not blocking ports or drives. A screen support and USB light are also available to accessorize the tray. Hole patterns on perimeter of tray facilitate the mounting of additional RAM systems to support GPS or other electronics.

Can someone sit in the passenger seat while this mount is installed?

Technically someone can still sit in the passenger seat when this mount is installed but the mount does take up a considerable amount of leg room and it does make the passenger seat much less comfortable. If you want to be able to quickly remove the mount to make room for a passenger you could install our Remove-A-Pole base (RAM-VB-REM1).
Will this base work with Ram 1500 Classic?

This base will accommodate Ram 1500 Classic as well as the Ram 2500-5500 model trucks. The RAM-VB-186ST1-SW1 will fit the redesigned Ram 1500.
Is there a way for this to be installed center rear for a passenger to be able to use?

Theoretically, yes, as long as those rear passenger seat bolts are 13.25 inches apart. Most customers when mounting a laptop in the back seat use a drilldown like RAM-VBD-122-SW1.
Will this fit on a 2024 Ram 1500 Classic?

We have not been able to test this on the 2024. I would suggest to compare HOLE PATTERN:
Seat Bolt Distance: 13.25" center to center
So I bought this for 2023 Ram 1500 Classic but we are currently are getting 2024 Ram 1500 tradesman will this still work?

For a 24' Ram 1500 please see the RAM-VB-186ST1-SW1 or for just the base mount RAM-VB-186ST1.
Will this work for a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 classic?

Yes, the RAM-VB-178A-SW1 is compatible with the Ram 1500 Classic model trucks.
Will this work with a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Edition?

No, the RAM-VB-178A-SW1 is intended for the 1500 Classic as well as the 2500-5500 Ram trucks. The updated version of that kit for the latest generation of the Ram 1500 (2019-2023) is the RAM-VB-186-ST1-SW1.
Can I order just the base that mounts to the seat? I have the rest of the equipment and only need the base.

Yes, the part number for the base by itself is RAM-VB-178A.
