Overview	This RAM^® No-Drill^™ laptop stand system installs quickly and easily into the 5th Gen Ram 1500 (2019 2023) using the existing hardware of the passenger side seat rails. This configuration provides a telescoping feature that ranges from 12” to 18”. Dual swing arms provide articulation and 12” of reach for passenger and driver access to the mounted device. RAM^® rubber ball and socket technology provides additional adjustability as well as shock and vibration isolation. The spring-loaded RAM^® Tough-Tray^™ laptop holder accommodates 10” to 16” wide laptops, and 17” wide screens. The tray features four adjustable retaining arms with rubber grips that can be moved both vertically and horizontally. These arms allow for a custom fit for laptops of varying thickness while not blocking drives or ports. A screen support and USB light are also available to accessorize the RAM^® Tough-Tray^™. In addition, hole patterns on the perimeter of the laptop holder are compatible with several RAM^® mounting solutions.

Is this kit compatible with my 2018 Ram 1500?

No, this mount is only compatible with the redesigned Ram 1500, it is not compatible with the 1500 Classic or Ram 1500 models older than 2019.
Is it compatible with my 2024 Ram 1500 Classic quad cab?

This mount is not compatible with any RAM"Classic" trucks. For the Classic vehicles, please see RAM-VB-178A-SW1.
Are you able to stow the desk when not in use?

No, it's not stowable but you can use this remove-a-pole part to just take it out when not in use:

I have the new 2025 Ram rebel 1500. will this be compatible ?

We have not been able test this base on that year, make, and model. You can compare the Seat Bolt Distance to see if this will work for you.
What is the weight limit for this item? I am curious about mounting a computer monitor, but i am unsure due to possibly exceeding the weight limit.

The C size ball connections like the one for the RAM-VB-195-SW1 has a maximum recommended weight of 4lbs.
Will the laptop close when it's in the mount?

The side arms on the laptop tray that come with this kit do not allow you to close the laptop down all the way, however we have this accessory kit of alternate side arms that have flat angles that can be positioned flush against the bottom of the laptop, and these will let you close it down all the way: RAM-234K1-4U
