Will the medium claw open wide enough to fit over a 1 3/8" trolling motor shaft and then close down to 1 3/8"?

The RAP-401U fully open measures at 2 3/4", so is should be able to go over 1 3/8" without issue
Are the jaws of the larger claw bigger than the medium claw ?
