  • What size is the bolt? Will it fit a standard 1/4 nut / threaded socket?

    The screw included with this adapter is a #10-24 x 2.25" stainless steel machine screw. It will not support any 1/4"-20 attachments.

  • How long is the ball from the base to the top of the ball, not counting the screw?

    The overall height of the ball component by itself is 2.05"

Reading part numbers

The letter after RAM tells you the ball size: RAM-B-166 uses a 1" B ball, while RAM-D-201 uses a 2.25" D ball. C size parts are the exception and carry no letter, so RAM-201U is a C size arm.
