What size is the bolt? Will it fit a standard 1/4 nut / threaded socket?

The screw included with this adapter is a #10-24 x 2.25" stainless steel machine screw. It will not support any 1/4"-20 attachments.
How long is the ball from the base to the top of the ball, not counting the screw?

The overall height of the ball component by itself is 2.05"
