what keeps the Mag Safe charging disk in the Ram mount?

We have 2 MagSafe holders. One for the 15W and one for the new 25W. These are specifically made for each puck and will snap in for a secure hold.

Does this kit include mounting hardware

No, the RAM-B-102-AP-MAGU does not come with installation hardware. RAM recommends using #10 screws appropriate to the material you're using as an attachment point for that size drill down base.

What is the socket to socket length of the double socket arm?

The medium length double socket arm (RAM-B-201U) that comes with the RAM-B-102-AP-MAGU is 3" from socket to socket.
