Overview

The RAM® Gimbal Security Knob is a great solution for securing your gimbal mounted electronics, whether or not it’s mounted on a RAM®. The universal design utilizes various stud sizes to accommodate most popular GPS, chart plotter, fish finder and VHF radio brands. With a simplistic design, our security knob is extremely affordable and simple to install. Pair this with a security knob for your RAM® mount and you can feel at ease when leaving your expensive electronics in public places without the concern of theft or tampering.

    Yes, it will work with both as long as they both have a gimbal bracket.

    Yes, this will work with the Lowrance HDS Live 16 and 12.

  • Will this work on a Humminbird Xplore 9?

    For the Humminbird Xplore 9 you will want the following mount: RAM® Drill-Down Ball Mount for Humminbird Helix 8-10 & XPLORE Series – RAM Mounts and use the following security knob: RAM® Pin-Lock™ Security Nut for D & E Size Socket Arms – RAM Mounts

    Yes, that will fit the gimbal bracket on the Axiom Pro 12.

  • Will this work on hummingbird helix 7

    This comes with a list of hardware included to see if one will match your threaded Stud. This should work on the Hummingbird but there might be a slight chance the screen can interfere with the knob.

  • Are they all keyed alike? Can a thief buy one and use the key...

    This comes in a randomly selected pin orientation of either 4 pin, 5 pin, 6 pin or 7 pin.

  • What is the installed width of the knob? How far out from bracket does it measure?

    The RAP-S-KNOBGU would stick out approximately 1.125" from the side of the gimbal bracket is attached to.  The security knob itself is 1.875" in diameter and 1.125" thick/tall.
