Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
Does this SKU include the hardware needed to bolt it to a flat surface?
No, the hardware required to install this mount is not included. Because these are mounted to such a wide variety of materials and applications we do not know what hardware to provide. The best resource for that type of information is usually a local hardware store or the manufacturer of the vehicle you are mounting to.
-
What screws are used to attach the RAM Mount to the gimbal bracket?
Typically the gimbal bracket included with your fishfinder will also come with mounting screws that should connect to the RAM® mounting plate. As these mounts are universal and are for many different applications, the necessary hardware needed for each application will vary. For marine applications, RAM® recommends stainless steel hardware to prevent corrosion.
-
At least call out what size screws, not the length, but the screw size required or suggested for the mount.... or show the hole dimensions it on the diagram. Seems lame to not call out what's required to mount it and then blame not knowing what it will be mounted to. You know the size of the hole in your bracket, call it out.
The holes in the bottom base of that kit are .375 inch in diameter. You should use whatever stainless steel screws you can find that will that diameter, at least 1.25 inch long. The drawing with all dimensions for that base is on the RAM-D-202U page.
