Overview
The RAP-B-236-A-UN7U consists of a 3/8"-16 threaded post base, short double socket arm and universal spring loaded X-Grip® cradle for cell phones. Designed into the mount is a 1" diameter patented rubber ball and socket system with adjustment points at the both ends of the socket arm; this with a twist of the arm knob, allows you can move the mount to your optimum viewing position. The included X-Grip® cradle has a clean and clever four leg design that sports great holding power without hiding your phone behind foam pads and plastic. The spring loaded X-Grip® cradle expands and contracts, allowing for a perfect custom fit of your cell phone. The perfect complement to the modern sleek interior of today's vehicles, the RAM X-Grip® is the cell phone cradle evolved. The X-Grip® includes a device tether recommended for outdoor applications. The cradle is compatible with handheld devices that will fit the dimensions listed below. It is important to verify the dimensions of your handheld device with a case/sleeve/skin when determining the overall size.

Will the ball fit the Helibars Tour Performance handlebar risers for the Harley Pan America?
As long as the Helibars Tour Performance handlebar risers have a 3/8"-16 threaded port then the RAP-B-236-A-UN7U will be a solid mounting option. Because of the variance between stock and after market products available for motorcycles, RAM tries to make the parts as universal as possible, rather than for specific makes or models of motorcycle.

I noticed my phone can be rotated back and forth about 15 degrees when it is in the X-Grip. Is that normal?
That type of movement is totally normal for the X-Grip. When being used for less rugged applications the small amount of movement allowed is not an issue, but sometimes when traveling at higher speeds or in bumpy environments it can be. If that is causing problems in your application, it is best to use the safety tether which will prevent that type of movement by creating tension between the phone and backplate.
