Overview
The spring-loaded RAM® Quick-Grip™ with Low-Profile RAM® Tough-Claw™ (RAM-HOL-PD4-400-1U) consists of the small RAM® Tough-Claw™ base and large RAM® Quick-Grip™ phone holder, connected by the RAM® Pin-Lock™ adapter. The adjustable side arms ensure that your phone will remain secured in the holder without blocking any ports or buttons. With the RAM® Tough-Claw™ base connected, easily attach the Quick-Grip™ on round, square, and odd-shaped rails and bars ranging from .625" to 1.14" in outer diameter. This kit is compatible with handheld devices that will fit the dimensions listed below. It is important to verify the dimensions of your handheld device with its case, sleeve, or skin when determining the overall size.

Can this be adapted to be used with the Vibe-Safe adapter (RAP-462NPT)?
No, this is not compatible with RAP-462NPT. You would have to do a setup like RAM-HOL-PD4-238AU + RAP-B-400U + RAP-462NPT + RAM-B-201U.

Will my Samsung s8 that I use for trail riding fit into this.
Looking at the dimensions of the Samsung S8, this Quick-Grip will work. If you have a case on your device, then you will want to compare your Height, width, and depth to the holder dimensions we have on this product page. Please double-check the diameter of your bar; this holds .625" - 1.14" diameter.

so i have got RAM quick grip XL phone mount with low profile tough claw but i want to add landscape mode to it, which part do i need specifically? Can you guys please help? I am unable to find Pin lock adapter, also this is the part number if needed -- RAM-HOL-PD4-400-1U
This part will not be able to easily rotate once mounted. You would need to take out a screw and turn the part in the direction you want.

Are you able to turn the phone with this mount or does it always sit sideways?
No, the RAM-HOL-PD4-400-1U does not articulate and will hold the phone perpindicular to the bar or railing used as the mounting point.

can the claw be changed to a bigger size with this kit? (RAM-HOL-PD4-400-1U)
No, the RAM-HOL-PD4-400-1U is not available with a larger Tough Claw. You can build out a similar kit using a RAM-HOL-UN10BU, a RAM-B-201U-A, and either the RAP-B-401U or RAP-B-404U, but there isn't a kit that contains all of those components.
