  • Is the Countersink a typical 82 degrees?

    There are 5 countersunk holes on this part.  There are four on the base with 82CSK and on at the bottom with 82 degree CSK.

  • Is it possible to change out the ball size on this plate to the size c ball by getting one of the balls with a threaded insert in it? My current boat has the large marine electronics mount and I don’t need the size d ball but can’t seem to find an adapter from size d to size c.

    The RAM-240U-IN1 has the same size plate and hole spacing as the D size round plates but comes with the smaller C size ball.  The balls are injection molded onto the posts of the drill down bases and are not interchangeable.

Reading part numbers

The letter after RAM tells you the ball size: RAM-B-166 uses a 1" B ball, while RAM-D-201 uses a 2.25" D ball. C size parts are the exception and carry no letter, so RAM-201U is a C size arm.
