Overview
The RAM-316-2U consists of a 18” rigid aluminum rod and 2 (qty) single open socket arm for 1.5" diameter balls. The 18" rigid aluminum rod can be bent to position your device to its optimum viewing location. At both ends of the aluminum rod is a swivel mechanism, allowing the open socket arms to turn 360 degrees.

Could a ball base be mounted on the vertical side of a console (on a type III Ambulance in the cab), and this be mounted to the base?
Yes. As long as the ball mount is securely fastened (drilled down), it can be mounted in your desired location.
