What size screws are needed for the holes on this ball plate?

The most common screw sizes are #8, #10, M4 and M5 screws. However, if you are pairing this with any RAM® Holder, the holder will come with the necessary hardware to connect to your mount.
Does the screw come out of the bottom and if so what are the threads…1/4”?

Yes, the screw comes out and the thread pitch is indeed 1/4" 20.
