Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • Does the low profile unit pivot at all (one ball joint) like the one with 2 ball joints for $64.99 or is it at a fixed angle?

This kit uses our snaplink ball system, with the snaplink ball going into the back of the x-grip. It takes a little force but you can still rotate the angle of the x-grip on the snaplink ball.

  • The dash surface is textured, will this still work? Does the dash surface need to be totally flat, with no curvature to it?

Yes, it will work on a textured dash that is curved. You just have to remember to clean the surface and let the mount sit for 24 hours before mounting your phone in there.

  • I noticed my phone can rotate back and forth when it is in the X-Grip. Is that normal?

That type of movement is totally normal for the X-Grip. When being used for less rugged applications the small amount of movement allowed is not an issue, but sometimes when traveling at higher speeds or in bumpy environments it can be. If that is causing problems in your application, it is best to use the safety tether which will prevent that type of movement by creating tension between the phone and backplate.
