Overview
The RAP-B-224-2U consists of a 2.75" twist lock suction cup base with 1" rubber ball. The suction cup is designed to have an extra strong hold on any smooth, non-porous surface. For best results mount the suction cup on glass or non-porous plastic surface.

My question is which is better or at least what is the difference between the RAM-B-224-1U vs RAP-B-224-2U suction bases?
The RAP-B-224-2U is the low profile version of the regular suction cup base mount, the RAP-B-224-1U. The low profile suction cup mount is shorter and has a smaller footprint than the regular RAP-B-224-1U, the housing for the low profile suction cup is what is twisted to engage the suction, while the regular suction cup has a switch in the housing that you flip instead. Functionally the two suction cups are identical other than their overall size.
