Will the Tough Claw "C" class clamp fit the windshield side moldings that taper from the main windscreen down to the side gunnel, Sea Ray Sport 205? The aluminum windshield structure is a 1 3/16" tube with a slightly irregular shape, not totally round. This is a family pleasure craft, open bow, split windscreen type. I don't want to drill into the Gel Coat for a permanent mount. Thanks. Part#: RAP-390-RB-404U UPC:793442953439
Yes, this mount should be able to clamp onto the side gunnel. As you can see from one of the photos, the claw base can work on odd-shaped rails and handles that do not have to be perfectly round. Depending on the shape there will likely be a specific position that the base locks into the best; it could be limited to that one position but will still have a steady hold on the post.
