Why is this rod holder described to be a great addition for the left ( port ) side of the boat? Will if fail to function on the right side?!??
When this holder supports a spinning reel, the spinning reel is positioned on the left side of the rod holder, which makes it best fitting to also have positioned on the left side of the boat. The rod holder can be mounted on either side of the boat but would be best used on the left side for this reason.
