it shows the Height Range: 24.75" - 31.75" in the this solution in https://rammount.com/products/ram-316-hd-18-tab24u . How is that adjusted? I need it about 6" shorter. Can the 18" threaded pipe be cut shorter or do you offer a shorter length version? I am trying to mount an 8" tablet in a 2023 Chevy Bolt EV using the passenger seat bolt.
The height adjustment range of the RAM-316-HD-18-TAB24U relates to the double socket arm at the top of the NPT pipe assembly. The RAM-316-HD-202U has a 12" version of the 1/2" NPT thread pipe used in the RAM-316-HD-18-TAB24U. Adding a RAM-HOL-TAB24U to the RAM-316-HD-202U will create the same mount but 6" shorter.

Are the 1/2" threads on the end of the pipes tapered or straight?
All NPT fittings, male and female, are tapered and intended to bind together once threaded into place.
