Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
How do I take this apart so I can get a new tether on it?
It's very difficult but you can actually pull the ball on that tough claw out of the back of the x-grip. It just takes brute strength. It also takes brute strength to insert that ball back into the back of the x-grip. That is intentional, so that once it's in there, it's definitely not going to fall out on its own.

I don't see my phone listed in the compatibility section for this cradle. How can I make sure my tablet is compatible before placing an order?
You can find a list of compatible dimensions for this holder in the product information section. If you want to make sure your tablet will fit in this holder you can measure your tablet to make sure it falls within the compatible dimensions.
-
Hello how wide is the claw itself ?
The claw is 1.375" by 2.5" (When fully extended)
-
I found a small tube of quick set glue in my package, but I don't see where I'd use it. Am I missing something?
The quick set adhesive that's included with the X-Grip phone holders is for the rubber caps at the end of the X-Grip arms. If those are loose or come off, just add a drop or two of the adhesive inside the cap and slide them back into place.

I noticed my phone can be rotated back and forth about 15 degrees when it is in the X-Grip. Is that normal?
That type of movement is totally normal for the X-Grip. When being used for less rugged applications the small amount of movement allowed is not an issue, but sometimes when traveling at higher speeds or in bumpy environments it can be. If that is causing problems in your application, it is best to use the safety tether which will prevent that type of movement by creating tension between the phone and backplate.
