Will this fit a 2022 Triumph Thruxton 1200RS stem?
The RAM-B-342U will not work with the 2022 Triumph Thruxton 1200RS.
-
2008 Yamaha R1 - My measurement shows approx. 13mm which is on the smaller end of your fit range. Does this mean that only the tip of the plug will pass through the fork cylinder hole and I will be left with a large amount of plug exposed and therefore raising the height of the mount?
No, it will not raise the height of the mount, since there is a bottom cut and top cut of the plug, as shown in the instructions here.
-
Hi, is this fork stem ball base compatible with the Yamaha MT-03?
No, the RAM-B-342U is not compatible with a Yamaha MT-03 but there are other options. Either the RAM-B-408-75-1U Medium Torque Rail Base or the RAM-B-309-1U Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Controls Mount are solid choices for a Yamaha MT-03.
-
Hi there, I am struggling to accurately measure my stem diameter…. Will this fit a 2016 BMW K1600 stem? Thanks
No, the RAM-B-342U is not compatible with a 2016 BMW K1600GT, but the RAM-B-309-1U Brake/Clutch Reservoir mount will work well with that motorcycle.
-
Will this fit the 2020 Suzuki GSX250R fork?
No, the RAM-B-342U Fork Stem base is not compatible with a 2020 Suzuki GSX250R. The only mount RAM offers for that model motorcycle is a clutch mount, the RAM-B-309-1U.
-
what is the thickness of the iron base
The plate of the RAM-B-342U is .25" thick.
-
Can you confirm fitment into 2022 Kawasaki ZX6R, which has a very small hex hole in the stem. The small dimension is 12mm but it's not round.
If your fork stem opening is not cylindrical than this base will not be compatilbe with your bike. The fork stem opening base requires a cylindrical opening between 12mm - 38mm (.5" - 1.49") in diameter.
-
How would I REMOVE this from a bike? I took off the ball, but it seems theres still the bottom piece in my stem and I don’t know how to remove it?
You would just need to back the screw out the RAM-B-342U. There can be some resistance from the the nylock nut internally, but it will eventually back the nut off allowing the expansion plug to be removed from the bore hole.
-
What is the safe Torque when you tighten the screw with 3mm Allen Wrench?
There isn't a recommended safe torque for the screw included with the RAM-B-342U, you will want to tighten that until the expansion plug has been squeezed between the washer sets and is secure in the fork stem hole.
