RAM® X-Grip® Drill-Down Double Ball Mount for 12"-13" Tablets
Overview
The RAM-B-101-C-UN11U consists of (2 QTY) 2.5" diameter round bases with the universal AMPS hole pattern, long double socket arm and universal X-Grip® clamping cradle for 12"-13" tablets. The X-Grip® clamping cradle consists of a composite spring loaded cradle, expandable grip arms and additional bottom support keeper. Included are extra easy access grip knobs, located on the back of the cradle for quick release of your tablet. The X-Grip® clamping cradle expands and contracts for perfect fit of most 12"-13" tablets with or without sleeves, as well as some smaller tablets. The X-Grip® cradle is compatible with handheld devices that will fit the dimensions listed below. It is important to verify the dimensions of your handheld device with a case/sleeve/skin when determining the overall size.

Could mouth this directly to the RAM-234-3 laptop holder?
Yes, you can mount this directly to the side of the laptop tough-tray. You may have overage with the round base. If you want to have smaller footprint you can look at RAM® Diamond Ball Base to take place of the round base on this unit.

Will this mount accommodate the 2024 iPad 13"? I believe it will, but just want to make sure before I purchase. I don't have the iPad on hand yet to measure, but I'd like to order the mount.
With the dimentions online this should hold the 2024 iPad 13". As long as the width or height doesnt exceed 8.75" and the depth is no more than .875".

This part says it has a maximum height of 10.25" (using optional supports). Is it possible to use this cradle with a tablet that is taller than that?
Yes, the maximum height listed only applies if you are using the optional side support arms. If you leave at least one of those arms off of the mount it will be able to support taller tablets.
