Overview
The RAM ROD® Flush Spline Post Base (RAM-114FMU) installs directly into a vessel’s gunwale to create a clean, low-profile rod mounting location. Designed to fit into a 1.4"" diameter hole, the spline post base is secured by drilling down the four corners for a stable, permanent installation. The center socket is compatible with RAM ROD® and RAM® Tube™ rod holders featuring a spline post. An integrated rubber cap seals the socket when the rod holder is removed, helping prevent water from pooling and keeping your deck clean and dry.

Can this base be used upside down with the round part up?
This base cannot be used upside down, and will require a 1.4" diameter hole to insert the socket for flush mounting.

What size hole has to be drilled for the spline hole post?
There needs to be a 1.4" hole drilled for the base to lay flush.
